I won't let the idiot words affect me anymore.
I earned my keeps by completing the race within the cut-off time.
I may not have train as hard as you did, but I did pay my dues.
As a friend mentioned :-
If you do not train and get DNF, you are not "Respecting the Ironman"
If you train, but do not train hard enough, you do not expect a good result.
=======
If there is something that I regret not doing during the Ironman Race, that will be "I din Hi-Five the Awesome Suppporters"
I am truly sorry.
I did not see any outstretched hands, but I could have stretched out mine!
You guys are simply awesome! Thanks!
In case you guys wonder why the crowd echoed "Ironman", instead of Pete Murray announcing it, here is what happened.
I was at the other side of transition area when I heard the announcement "Siew Ling Tan, You are an Ironman!"
Right after that, Pete Murray said "Let's try something different. For the next Ironman, I will say 'You are an' and you will shout Ironman" =D
I felt I ran the perfect race.
Everything went fine for me.
I had a good swim.
I did a good bike.
I PB-ed my marathon.
If there is something that can be improved for my next Ironman, that will be to try harder. =)
For now, I intend to spend more time with my family. =)
