Some of you thought that I have stopped blogging...
I have not, I just cannot bear to share the pain...

Things are not all that rosy. Been walking with a bad left ankle for 2 days now.
Not too sure why.
And I got nose abrasion from my trusty Aquasphere googles. Bummer...

Many things happened last week.
- The release of iPhone 4S.
- The demise of Steve Jobs.

The release of iPhone 4S
Something not entirely new.
It is all down to corporate survival.
One new feature that I love!
SIRI!
Voice recognition has come a long way since XT 286 PCs.
It requires tons of processing power. And a demo I saw back in the 90s truly amazes me.
For the last few years, I was wondering what happen to the technology?
With the raw processing power we had in today's world. Voice recognition software advancement still seems medicore.
SIRI seems to change it all.
For the longest time, I wish to have something to store my thoughts and reminders.
I tend to use ancronyms to remember stuff till I have a chance to pen it down.
SIRI would be a perfect solution. =)

The demise of Steve Jobs
To me, he is the man who changed the technology world.
Bill Gates has given us something beyond the C:\>.
Steve Jobs open the world to the rest of us.
He truly defines the technology.
The man who put the internet in our hands.
The man who start the trend of charging USD0.99 per song.
Before SJ, we pay through our nose for a CD album.
The man who forces the hands of the world's telcos to reduce mobile data charges.
Before SJ, I still remember bleeding through the seven orifices downloading data.
Paying $8 for 1 MB of data is simply ridiculous.
The man who makes sure that the product is top notch before presenting it to the world.
Thank you, Steve Jobs!

Ironman Kona 2011
A race which I have not missed since I started tri-ing.
This year is extra special.
I watch the online "live" telecast from start to finish.
Not because I want, but because I can.
Seeing Chrissie pre-race interview and her road rashes, I thought she sustained the injuries a few months ago, not realising that she actually fell from her bike 10 days before Ironman Kona.
Seeing Andy Potts pulling away in the water to seeing Chris Leito taking a huge lead at the start of the run to seeing Craig Alexander stopping to stretch 38km into the run.
Seeing Julie Dibens taking an awesome lead from start till midway into the run.
Wondering what happened to Craig and Chrissie?
Seeing Chrissie zoomed past Julie Dibens with relative ease.
Seeing the cameras focusing on the Pocket Dynamo Miranda Carfrae rather than Chrissie.
Seeing how Craig collapse right after the race. It make us realise that he is after all human.
Seeing Chrissie's emotions right after the race. It make us realise that with faith, we can win it all.
An awesome 9+2 hours of non-stop fun. =)
Cervelo leads the Bike Count for Ironman Kona 2011.
Owning a NeilPryde make the numbers look insignificant. =p
Seeing how Trek Speed Concepts ripped the field apart... I wish I can own one. =(
