Woke up with a sore throat and hangover from last night's medicine.
A look in the mirror and the throat looks really bad.
Initial thought is to skip the run.
Took a nap and woke up at 5:30am.
Took some medicine to open the airway.
Reached the Race Site and was forced to park at Car Park 4.
Oh well, just treat this as I am doing a deja vu Mega Tri Run stage. :p
While walking to the Start Point, I can feel Royal Rumble calling again.
Phew, this time I am prepared.
Walking down the long straight, I can see a number of runners making their way to the Start Point.
Found a gap at the Start Point and cross the timing mat at 7:33am.
The trails is more like a running on the beach than running in the trails.
It is very sandy and hard to get a good foot grip.
For every exhale, I have to inhale thrice.
That is how bad my sinus is...
Completed the first km in 6:53min. Kinda surprised...
By the time I reached the tarmac, most of the 10km were making their way towards the Finish Line...
At the entrance to the Changi Aviation Road, I made a right turn and joined the 21km runners.
This year we had the chance to run till CarPark 6 before making our way onto the Beach.
2km of Sand. Kinda fun to run.
While most prefer to walk, I find it easy to run cos of the loose foot grip.
Back onto the tarmac, I sat down to clear sand from inside my shoes, much to the amusement of the passing runners. =D
1:31h was the official time taken to complete the race.
Haha, my mind is so clouded that I thought I did a PW of 2hrs for a 10km race. =p
Collected the swee-swee black Real Run Finisher Tee.
Queued for almost 2 hours to get a shiok shiok foot massage before making my way home.
Thanks to a very kind runner, he gave me a ride to Car Park 4 to pick up my car.
Thanks, bro!
