I survived!
Thanks to the encouragement of my fellow FOTRers.
Without you guys, I may not have completed the ride.
Having booked a bumboat, we spared no time waiting and off the Desaru we went! =)
The ride started nicely.
Being flat, I have no issue keeping pace with the group.
I caused the first drama of the day...
Hit a pothole and the missile from the rear hydration system flew!
Luckily no incident... Phew... Sorry, guys...
Out of town, the hills came!!!
After a few hills, it was just me and Kristal...
Another few more hills, I am riding alone.
Haiz... I totally sucked at hills.
The guys were waiting for me at the junction into Belungkor.
After a quick break, we are off to Belungkor Ferry Terminal.
Took a long break at Belungkor Ferry Terminal refueling.
Back on Belungkor, my bike started making creaky sounds.
I just could not figure out where the sound come from...
But it got me terrified.
Loosen the front brake and front wheel, but the sound remains...
At the Belungkor Junction, the whole group were waiting for me.
I feel really bad about it. Sorry, guys...
I have wanted to go back the way we came, but the guys advised me against it.
The worst is over, they assured me...
On we ride towards Petronas, where I top up another 1.5L of 100-Plus.
This is my 4th bottle of 100-Plus for this ride!!! And we have only travelled 80km!
After another long break, we are on our way again.
30km to lunch was the carrot being dangled. =D
Haha, we swim bike run for food. Glorious food.
Quads are threatening to cramp up, but I guess the ultimate combi of Quad Guards, Clif Bloks and Salt Pills keep the cramps in check.
Up the hills, Eugene pushed me... Literally!!!
Thanks, Eugene!
Keke, Ivan was hoping that Eugene was pushing him too. =p
Had a sumptuous lunch at Jade Restaurant before proceeding for the ride back to the Ferry Terminal.
Plus points of the ride :-
Did my first virgin Desaru ride
Tried Clif Bloks and Salt Pills for the first time and found out how effective it is!
Salonpas was not activated
Eyes does not sting after the ride...
