Had planned to join the FOTR ride, but I got stalled on the way out.
Meeting up with a fellow FOTR rider will have to wait a bit longer. =D
Having gone through a whole day trying to figure out what stuff to buy, I was ready to make my payment when I was shocked to see the message 'The requested service is unavailable between the selected locations.'
Having shopped the whole day and getting the calculated shipping charges the entire time, the payment came as a nasty shock.
Decided to contact Customer Service to see what other avenues is available for shipment, with the real prospect of not being to complete the purchase eventually.
Perils of shopping online.
Hope for the best, be prepared for the worst. =)
Waited for the Customer Service to came online, but a check on their working hours and timezone meant that they will only be available at 1:00am Singapore Time, Monday to Friday.
Decided to sleep early and try to catch them in the morning.
Woke up early for the ride.
Customer Service is online!
Made a quick enquiry and was in for a surprise!
(Haha, already decked out in cycling gear and with the bike at the door and water bottles topped up, I have to let the ride go!)
As I have been able to get the shipping charges reflected in my shopping cart during the entire shopping period, they will honour the shipping charges.
This is what I like about overseas online purchases.
Money is secondary, Customer Satisfaction take top priority.
How I wish that local companies can learn from them.
They may or may not have lost me as a customer by not honouring the shipping charges.
But they have definitely retained me as a customer and probably gain a few of my friends as their customers.
Served with a Heart!
