6pm, 5 swimmers don on their wetsuits for a swim.
Ivan, Sean and I are doing our first wetsuit swim. =)
Took quite a while to put on the wetsuit and sweat a bucket just doing it!
At the start of the swim, one can feel the buoyancy. There is no real reason to kick at all... =p
The shoulders and arms feel very sore even before the first lap is completed.
The depth of the pool made my heart rate jumped every time I swim passed it, but I learn to ignore it after a while.
For someone with Acrophobia, I was surprised I have a certain degree of Bathophobia too. =D
I stopped counting the laps and just try to get used to swimming in the wetsuit.
It is really warm inside the wetsuit.
Water is not getting into the wetsuit at all.
Less than 30 minutes into the swim, I am feeling dehydrated.
I am the only one without a water bottle. =(
YP noticed that my poor swim strokes and corrected me.
Really need someone to view your strokes to realise your mistakes.
While YP, Ivan and I took regular swim breaks, our two diligent swimmers Sean and BFG were quietly and efficiently doing laps after laps...
Sean suggested to me to let the water in through the neck and it really helps.
It feels strange at the beginning but I got used to it after a while.
Nice wetsuit swim.
Thanks YP and BFG for arranging the swim. =)
