Cycling along Ulu Pandan bring back memories of JoyRiders Sunday Botanical Gardens Ride.
Alas, the closure of the Botanical Gardens Food Court meant the ride cease to exist.
****
Caught the train right at the start of Mandai Road and took the draft up the slope.
Alas, the group sped off over the top and I am left all alone.
Reached Mandai Shell and saw the Angel Hearts waiting for the steady group.
Rode with AH till Clementi where I peel off towards Clementi Road while the rest did the Bukit Timah stretch.
Right after the viaduct, I felt the drizzle and decide to cut my ride short.
Turn left into Ulu Pandan.
Passing Holland Village brought back sweet memories.
Days when the JoyRiders Group was smaller and more cohesive.
Days where most riders knows each other.
Days where we ransacked BG Food Court in terms of tables (To form one huge JR table) and food (where JR outnumbered the morning visitors)
Along Marymount Road, it would always been a struggle for me.
But after months of riding with FOTR, the home stretch is always a welcoming sign.
But I noted that non-compression apparels and plain water does not really help.
I am so dependent on compression tights! =p
Learning from my experience everyday where I tried something new.
Just so that I dun screw up BIG TIME on the actual day.
