Day 72 : 22nd September 2011 Running

Make Mistakes. Make Lots of Mistakes.

I am trying something new for my ride and run now.
Wear something different, eat and drink something different. Try out different time intervals of food intake.
Just wanna make sure that things will work when the BIG DAY arrives.

It has been a long while since I ran home from work.

The weather is extremely nice for a long run. Glad I choose a good day to run home.

Days of running with the Tuesday's Running Lab runs help me familiarize myself with the surroundings.
I do not have to stick with the same old path for every run. ;)

At 8km, I did not feel hungry even though I din take any gel.
Hmm, could be the sumptuous lunch treat. ;p

I am wondering if I could finish the run without any food intake...
Haha, nada...
Took a gel at the 12km.

2km later, I popped 3 Clif Bloks.
Oh oh... the calves and the feet felt swollen...
Why? Too much water intake during the day?
The balls of my feet started burning...
Decided to take a slow walk for the rest of the journey home.

My dual toe socks still works the best for all occasions.
I am so glad that I found my race socks through trail and error. =)
Saved me a bundle over those sports socks. =)
