Day 138 : 18th July 2011 Running

Bad Run Day...
Not every run will turn out fine...

Did a different route within Botanical Gardens before hitting Kheam Hock Road.
With the evening sun blazing, I am glad I prep a visor for every run. =)

Hit MR feeling extremely good.
Not wanting to experience what I felt last week, I took my first gel at the 6km mark.
As it is still early, I dropped by Runner's Gait, only to find out that it is Closed!!! =(

Not wanting to do the 2 hills, I decided to run along Ang Mo Kio Ave 1.
A lot of runners along the stretch as Bishan Park is "Closed to Public", the multi-millon dollar project.
Pace picked up, hopefully it will not affect my overall pacing.

Turning left into Ang Mo Kio Ave 6, I was still feeling okay till the slope before McD halted me.
All of the sudden, I just dun feel like running...
Hmm...
Tank is still half full, but the pistons just refused to co-operate.

A street from Yio Chu Kang MRT, I was ready to throw in the towel before I remembered Roctane.
Hmm... will it give me the power to journey home?

Hmm... Gels just does not seems enough to fill the stomach... At least that was the thought for today. =D

Roctane gave me the energy to run till Yio Chu Kang Road.
And engine shut down again!!!
Then I realised that I have not been perspiring for quite a while despite the huge intake of fluids!
Humidity! The silent killer.
Now I am stuck in No-Man's Land.

Too proud to walk back, I decided to walk the 4km home.

Still find it a fulfilling run, knowing what may hit you on a run.
