I have finally come to terms with my injury.
No more bitching...
Surprisingly, it took a situation in the office to do so. :D
** Situation Starts **
A neither long nor short version of what happen...
On Saturday, an incident happened after I left the office for my dinner appointment.
Although my commitment is up till 6pm, I left office only at 7:30pm to assist with the activities.
Checked back occasionally with my colleagues to ensure that the activities are going smoothly.
At 10:30pm, I received a SMS from my manager.
"I demand a written chronology of your activities for today by 1000hr on Monday"
What piqued me off was the word "demand".
It was like guilty without trial...
Online and offline, my actions have been deemed inexcusable and unacceptable.
Having gone through a similar encounter with AT in August 2010, I am ready for the backlash...
AT mentioned he will do a review with us on Monday.
Instead, what happen on Monday was that the moment he stepped into the office :-
"How many engineers do you need to change a light bulb??? Six..."
He went on ranting, putting my entire team down...
Strangely, his team escaped unscathed although his team were the team who caused the major breakdown...
He went on to bring up this incident during the Tuesday's weekly management meeting.
Come Wednesday, still no review. No action, no apologies.
I am perturbed. Extremely preturbed.
On my way home, an idiom suddenly hit me...
"A good leader must rise above the clamor, otherwise he is no different from the common man"
I shall not harped on the incident anymore, else I will be no different from AT.
** Situation Ends **
Things feel so much better after I got over the injury.
Keep massaging my elbow when I got the time.
A few days have passed and I am getting more flexibility in my right arm.
Wish me well...
