Wanting to give the weary body more rest plus I dun really wanna do slopes, I din follow the FOTR for today's buffet.
I started the ride doing the JR Saturday Ride's route.
Shouted at a large group of ang mo riders (ANZA? Although none of them is wearing the ANZA jersey) who were riding recklessly along Jalan Kayu, much to the amusement of some of their fellow riders.
One reason why I am staying away from JR group rides.
It is an accident just waiting to happen.
Hitting Old Punggol Road, I decided to ride to Punggol End.
I missed that the other time with FOTR, cos I lacked stamina.
Another reason why I skipped the FOTR ride today.
Gotta build up my stamina first.
Oh, the road entering PE has been closed! It has been replaced by a bridge!
Going down the slope, I held hard to both brakes.
My brake pads are probably wearing fast...
Hmm, I feel safe going down Desaru's slopes, but I never feel assured going down Singapore roads. :(
Reaching PE, I was taken in by the view!
It has probably been 20 years since I last came here.
I managed to reach PE in time to view the sunrise.
Took a photo with the iPhone but the Sun din came out nice.
Learnt from a photographer that he is using a glare filter to enhance his shots.
In fact, most of the people around were all holding big and mean DSLRs. :)
Proceed to cycle along the PCN, stopping once in a while to view the scenery and take photos.
Chanced upon a man-made stream.
You have to overlook the stream to hear water flowing down the stream.
The sound of the water is very soothing.
Unfortunately, video returns lots of static sounds. :(
The PCN is still under construction. Will ride the entire route once it is completed in the future.
Got my bearings and did a reverse route home.
