Day 260 : 18th March 2011 Swimming

Today is the Aviva Ironman 70.3 Singapore Familiarization Swim.

When I reached Car Park F2, the Transition Area is more or less being set up.
It will be a long transition run from Swim Out. =D

When I reach the beach, I was surprised to find very few locals around.
In fact, half of the swimmers came on their bike.
Bling bling bikes...
Zipp Wheels were out in full force...
There is also an elderly man on a steel bike...
Respects...

Initially we thought the swim course is the actual swim route, until David told us that the buoys belongs to him.
He mentioned that the actual race course will be bigger?
Bigger? Gosh...

The water was good, though extremely salty.
No seabugs, little sea currents are good for a morning swim...

Again I tried to do freestyle, but it always slowed me down and bring me off-course.
After a lap, I just swim and try out bilateral swimming...
In fact, I could do sighting with every swim stroke, but it is a slow swim...

After the swim, while driving home, we drove through part of the bike course and gosh...
Half a car lane? This is madness....

Haiz... will see how things goes on Sunday.
Wish me luck. =)
